All of my previous trips to Nepal have been centered on Mt. Everest basecamp. Because of the great distance and altitude gain these trips have demanded 17 to 30 days to complete the trek.
In 2015 I will introduce a more manageable trek to Tengbouche Monastery in the heart of the Solukhumbu Valley and the center of Sherpa Buddhist faith.
This epic trip begins when you reach the capital of Kathmandu. From our base in the Thamel district we will tour Swayambhunath, the "monkey temple" and visit the 14th century Boudhanath Stupa, the largest in Nepal and the holiest Tibetan temple outside of Tibet.
We will then make the exciting flight to the mountain village of Lukla and begin our trek that will include three nights in Namche Bazaar, the capital of Sherpa trading in the Khumbu Valley. Spectacular veiws of Himalayan peaks including Ama Dablam, Nuptse, and of course Mt. EVEREST. Our destination is Tengbouche Monastery, perched on a mountain top surrounded by breath taking veiws. If time allows we can witness a Puju ceremony before taking shelter in our teahouse lodge for the night and resting for the return trek to Lukla and flight back to Kathmandu.

This trek is strenous. You should be in reasonably good health to attempt it.
We provide and local guide, all food on the trek including tea and coffee, accomodations, entry fees, trekking permits, internal flights and transfers, and an experienced american guide.
