The NAUI Freediving program is unlike courses offered by other agencies. This course focuses on the fundamentals of freediving rather than just an end result and a certification card. We begin with an online tutorial and then a detailed lecture on the mechanics of freediving. We develop the skills in a pool session and poolside breathing exercises to increase your static apnea time. This training is followed by the open water line diving session where we put it all together.
At the completion of the course you will have an understanding of the physiology of freediving, the ability to conduct SAFE dives, and a solid basis to build EXPERIENCE.
Course includes Elearning, pool session with lecture, and day of line diving and safety drills, and use of freediving gear (long blade fins, low volume mask, snorkel, and appropriate weighting system.
Course fee is $450 per person (max 3 students per course)
does not include admission to Springs (approx. $48) or wetsuit.
